২০২১ সালের বিশ্বের শীর্ষ দশ দামী ফুটবলারের তালিকা প্রকাশ করেছে ফুটবল বিজনেস ডাটা গবেষণা প্রতিষ্ঠান ‘ফুটবল বেঞ্চমার্ক’। যেখানে জায়গা হয়নি বর্তমান সময়ের অন্যতম সেরা দুই তারকা ফুটবলার লিওনেল মেসি ও ক্রিশ্চিয়ানো রোনালদোর।

এই তালিকা দেখে মেসি-রোনালদো ভক্তদের অবাক হওয়ার কিছুই নেই। কারণ পারফরম্যান্সের ভিত্তিতে দামী ফুটবলারের ‘সুপার টেন’ নির্বাচন করেনি ফুটবল বেঞ্চমার্ক। যেখানে পারফরম্যান্স ডাটা, পজিশন, ক্লাবের সাথে কন্টাক্ট এবং বয়সকে গুরুত্ব দিয়েছে প্রতিষ্ঠানটি। এজন্য এই তালিকায় ৩০ এর বেশি বয়সের খেলোয়াড়দের খুব বেশি দাম ধরা হয়নি।
গত বছরের দামী ফুটবলারের তালিকার শীর্ষে আছেন আর্লিং হল্যান্ড। বুরুশিয়া ডর্টমুন্ডের নরওয়েজিয়ান স্ট্রাইকারের দাম ১৪২ মিলিয়ন ইউরো। ১২৮ মিলিয়ন ইউরো দাম নিয়ে দুই নম্বরে অবস্থান করছেন প্যারিস সেন্ট জার্মেই, পিএসজির ফরাসি ফরোয়ার্ড কিলিয়ান এমবাপ্পে।
তিন নম্বরে থাকা ফিল ফোডেনের দাম উঠেছে ১১৭ মিলিয়ন ইউরো। পাঁচ নম্বরে আছেন রোমেলু লুকাকু। বেলজিয়ান ফুটবলারের দাম ১১৬ মিলিয়ন ইউরো।
সেরা দশের বাকিরা হলেন যথাক্রমে মোহাম্মদ সালাহ (১১৪ মিলিয়ন ইউরো), আলেক্সান্ডার আর্নল্ড ( ১১৩ মিলিয়ন ইউরো), ব্রুনো ফার্নান্দেজ (১১২ মিলিয়ন ইউরো), মার্কাস রাশফোর্ড (১১১ মিলিয়ন ইউরো), হ্যারি কেন ( ১১০ মিলিয়ন ইউরো) ও জর্ডার সানচো (১১০ মিলিয়ন ইউরো)।
