পাকিস্তান সুপার লিগে (পিএসএল) খেলতে পারাকে বিদেশের মাটিতে দেশের প্রতিনিধিত্ব ও ক্রিকেট চর্চার উপলক্ষ্য হিসেবে দেখছেন সাকিব আল হাসান। বাংলাদেশের সেরা ক্রিকেটার পিএসএলে খেলবেন করাচি কিংসের হয়ে।
এক লাখ ৪০ হাজার ডলারে সাকিবকে দলে ভিড়িয়েছে দলটি। ওই দলে আরো খেলবেন পাকিস্তানের স্থানীয় তারকা শোয়েব মালিক।
সোমবার সন্ধ্যার পর পর সাকিব তার নিজস্ব ফেসবুক পাতায় পিএসএলে খেলাকে সুযোগ হিসেবে উল্লেখ করেন। সাকিব বলেন, 'পাকিস্তান সুপার লিগে করাচি কিংসের হয়ে খেলাটা বিদেশের মাটিতে দেশকে প্রতিনিধিত্ব করার দারুণ সুযোগ।'

তিনি আরো বলেন, 'আমি রোমাঞ্চিত। যে খেলাটাকে খুব বেশি ভালোবাসি, তা আমি আরো সামনে নিয়ে যাওয়ার সুযোগ পাবো।'
সাকিব ছাড়াও পিএসএলের প্লেয়ার ড্রাফটের প্রথম দিনে তামিম ইকবাল ও মুস্তাফিজুর রহমান দল পেয়েছেন। তামিম খেলবেন পেশোয়ার জালমিতে। আর মুস্তাফিজের দল লাহোর কালান্দারস।
