স্ত্রী উম্মে আহমেদ শিশির, একমাত্র সন্তান আলাইনা হাসান আউব্রি এবং মাকে নিয়ে ওমরাহ পালন করতে সৌদি আরবের উদ্দেশ্যে দেশ ছেড়েছেন বাংলাদেশ ক্রিকেট দলের টি-টোয়েন্টি ও টেস্ট অধিনায়ক সাকিব আল হাসান।
উইন্ডিজের বিপক্ষে পূর্ণাঙ্গ সিরিজ শেষ হলো গতকাল। এর একদিন পরই সৌদি আরবের উদ্দেশে দেশ ছেড়েছেন সাকিব। বাংলাদেশ অধিনায়কের একটি ঘনিষ্ঠ সূত্র জানিয়েছে, আজ রোববার বিকেল ৪টায় সৌদির উদ্দেশে হযরত শাহজালাল বিমানবন্দর ত্যাগ করেছেন পরিবারসহ সাকিব।
কিছুদিন আগে হজ্বের মৌসুমে সৌদি সরকারের রাজকীয় অতিথি হয়ে হজ্ব পালন করে এসেছিলেন এই টাইগার। এবার নিজের উদ্যোগে পরিবার নিয়ে গেলেন ওমরাহ পালন করতে।
উল্লেখ্য দীর্ঘ ইনজুরি থেকে ফিরে উইন্ডিজ সিরিজটা স্বপ্নের মতোই কেটেছে সাকিবের। দুই ম্যাচের টেস্ট সিরিজে বাংলাদেশ অধিনায়ক হয়েছিলে সিরিজ সেরা। ওয়ানডে সিরিজেও খেলেছিন দুর্দান্ত। শেই হোপের কারণে সেটাতে সিরিজ সেরার পুরস্কার জিততে না পারলেও টি-টোয়েন্টিতে এসে আবারও সিরিজ সেরা সাকিব। তিন ম্যাচ সিরিজের দ্বিতীয়টিতে ক্যারিয়ারের প্রথম পাঁচ উইকেটের দেখাও পেয়েছিলেন।
পবিত্র ওমরাহ পালন শেষে ২৯ ডিসেম্বর সাকিব দেশে ফিরবেন বলে জানা গেছে।
