আইসিসির অদ্ভুত ‘নিয়ম’ই হারিয়ে দিয়েছে বাংলাদেশকে!

জয়ের জন্য শেষ দুই ওভারে বাংলাদেশকে করতে হতো মাত্র ১৪ রান। হাতে ছিলো ছয় উইকেট। সবচেয়ে বড় কথা ৬৪ রানে উইকেটে ছিলেন মুশফিকুর রহিম ও ১০ রানে সাব্বির রহমান। তারপরও ম্যাচটা জিততে পারেনি বাংলাদেশ।
শেষ ওভারে প্রয়োজন ছিল আট রান। মুশফিকুর রহিম প্রথম বলেই ছক্কা হাঁকাতে গিয়ে ক্যাচ আউট। আগের ওভারের শেষ বলে ফিরে যান সাব্বির রহমান। শেষ পর্যন্ত বাংলাদেশ ম্যাচটা হারে ৩ রানে। এই জন্য মুশফিকের পাশাপাশি অনেকে কিন্তু আইসিসিকেও দোষ দিতে পারেন।
ক্রিকেটের সর্বোচ্চ সংস্থার এক অদ্ভুত নিয়মের কারণও যে ভোগালো বাংলাদেশকে। ম্যাচের ৪৩ ওভারে দেবেন্দ্র বিশুর বলে মুশফিকুর রহিমকে আউট দিয়েছিলেন আম্পায়ার। বিশুর বলে রিভার্স সুইপ খেলতে চেয়েছিলেন মুশফিকু। বল ব্যাটের কানায় লেগে বাউন্ডারি পেরিয়ে যায়।
এদিকে, বিশুর আবেদনে মুশফিককে এলবিডব্লিউয়ের আউট দিয়ে নেন আম্পায়ার। রিভিউ নেন মুশফিক। পরে দেখা যায় আউট ছিলেন না তিনি। আম্পায়ার আউটের সিদ্ধান্ত থেকে সরেও আছেন। কিন্তু ওই বাউন্ডারিটা আর দেওয়া হয়নি।
আইসিসির নিয়মই এমন। আইসিসির নিয়ম বলছে, মাঠের আম্পায়ার আউট দিয়েছে মানে বলটি ডট। ওই বলে কোনো রান হবে না। আবার একটি বল বেশি করারও বিধান নাই। ফলে ওই চারটি রান পায়নি বাংলাদেশ। ওই চারটা রান পেলে হয়তো ৩ রানে হেরে আর মাঠ ছাড়তে হতো না!
