সামরিক খাতে নতুন মাইলফলক অর্জন করলো রাশিয়া। রাশিয়া এবার পরবর্তী প্রজন্মের একটি সামরিক উপগ্রহ কক্ষপথে সফলভাবে স্থাপন করেছে। উপগ্রহটি রাশিয়ার প্লেলেতস্ক কসমোড্রোম থেকে ছোঁড়া হয়।
রাশিয়ার স্থানীয় সময় বৃহস্পতিবার সকাল ৯:৩৪ মিনিটে রকেটটি উৎক্ষেপণ করা হয়। রুশ অত্যাধুনিক এই কৃত্রিম উপগ্রহটিকে কক্ষপথে বহন করে নিয়ে যায় সুয়েজ ২.১ বি নামের একটি সামরিক রকেট। রুশ সেনাবাহিনী দাবি করেছে, উপগ্রহটি তাদের সামরিক সেক্টরে অনন্য অর্জন।
রুশ প্রতিরক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয় বিবৃতিতে জানিয়েছে, রকেট ছোড়া এবং পরবর্তি প্রজন্মের এই কৃত্রিম উপগ্রহকে কক্ষপথে স্থাপনের কাজ বেশ সুচারু এবং সফলভাবে সম্পন্ন হয়েছে। তবে উপগ্রহটির কার্যকারিতা বা কি কাজে ব্যবহার হবে সেই বিষয়ে বিস্তারিত কিছু জানানো হয়নি।
রুশ গণমাধ্যম বলছে, ২০২১ থেকে ২০২৩ সালের মধ্যে হালকা সুয়েজ রকেট উৎক্ষেপণের জন্য তৃতীয় কেন্দ্র চালু করা হবে। এই কেন্দ্রটি খোলা হবে প্লেলেতস্ক কসমোড্রোমের কাছেই। সামরিক বিশ্লেষকরা বলছেন, রাশিয়ার অত্যাধুনিক এই উপগ্রহ মহাকাশ গবেষণার নতুন দিগন্ত উন্মোচন করেছে।
