রাশিয়ার রাষ্ট্রীয় সংবাদমাধ্যম আরটি জানিয়েছে, দেশটির সেন্ট পিটার্সবার্গ মেট্রো সিস্টেমে একটি বিস্ফোরণের ঘটনা ঘটেছে। আরটি ছাড়াও আরও বেশ কয়েকটি আন্তর্জাতিক সংবাদমাধ্যম খবরটি নিশ্চিত করেছে।
সেনায়া প্লোশচাদ মেট্রো স্টেশনে একটি এবং ইন্সটিটিউট অব টেকনোলজি স্টেশনে একটি, মোট দুটি বিস্ফোরণ হয়েছে বলে জানিয়েছে রুশ সংবাদ সংস্থাগুলো। এই ঘটনার পর আশেপাশের মোট আটটি রেলস্টেশন বন্ধ রাখা হয়েছে।
সংবাদমাধ্যম বিবিসি জানিয়েছে, মেট্রো সিস্টেমে বিস্ফোরণের সঠিক কারণ এখনও জানা যায়নি। তবে সেখানে একটি গণবিধ্বংসী অস্ত্রের বিস্ফোরণ ঘটানো হয়েছে বলে ধারনা করছে সবাই।
রাশিয়ার রাশিয়ার বার্তা সংস্থা ইন্টারফ্যাক্স জানিয়েছে, বিস্ফোরকটির ওজন ২০০ থেকে ৩০০ গ্রাম টিএনটি পর্যন্ত হতে পারে। ঘটনাটি কোনো সন্ত্রাসবাদী হামলা কি না সে সম্পর্কে এখনও কেউ নিশ্চিত নয়।
শেষ খবর পাওয়া পর্যন্ত বিস্ফোরণে দশ জন নিহত হওয়ার তথ্য নিশ্চিত করেছে আরটি। এদিকে রুশ বার্তা সংস্থা তাসও দশ জন নিহত হওয়ার খবর জানিয়েছে।
এদিকে বিস্ফোরণের ঘটনায় রুশ প্রেসিডেন্ট ভ্লাদিমির পুতিন উদ্বেগ জানিয়ে বলেছেন, এই ঘটনায় পূর্ণ তদন্ত চলবে। সন্ত্রাসবাদের সম্ভাবনা মাথায় রেখেই এই ঘটনার তদন্ত করা হবে।
