সাবেক এমপি নদভী উত্তরা থেকে গ্রেপ্তার

রাজধানীর উত্তরা থেকে চট্টগ্রাম-১৫ (সাতকানিয়া) আসনের সাবেক সংসদ সদস্য ড. আবু রেজা মুহাম্মদ নদভীকে গ্রেপ্তার করেছে ঢাকা মহানগর গোয়েন্দা পুলিশ (ডিবি)। রোববার (১৫ ডিসেম্বর) রাত ১০টার দিকে তাকে গ্রেপ্তার করা হয়। ডিএমপির মিডিয়া ও পাবলিক রিলেশনস বিভাগের উপ-পুলিশ কমিশনার (ডিসি) মুহাম্মদ তালেবুর রহমান এ তথ্য নিশ্চিত করেছেন।

গত ৯ অক্টোবর সাতকানিয়া থানায় সাবেক এমপি নদভী, তার ভাতিজা মাদার্শা ইউনিয়ন পরিষদের চেয়ারম্যান আ ন ম সেলিম চৌধুরীসহ আওয়ামী লীগ ও এর সহযোগী সংগঠনের ৪৯ নেতাকর্মীর বিরুদ্ধে মামলা দায়ের করা হয়েছিল। বিএনপি নেতা মো. মোস্তাফিজুর রহমান বাদী হয়ে এই মামলাটি দায়ের করেন।
মামলার অভিযোগ অনুযায়ী, গত বছরের ১৯ নভেম্বর নির্বাচনী তফসিল বাতিলসহ বিভিন্ন দাবিতে বিএনপির বিক্ষোভ মিছিলে নদভী, তার ভাতিজা, স্থানীয় আওয়ামী লীগ নেতাদের নির্দেশে আওয়ামী লীগ, যুবলীগ ও ছাত্রলীগের নেতাকর্মীরা হামলা চালায়। এতে বিএনপির নেতাকর্মীরা আহত হন। সাবেক এমপি নদভী তখন থেকেই আত্মগোপনে ছিলেন।
