রাজধানীর পশ্চিম নখলপাড়া এলাকা থেকে সাবেক সংসদ সদস্য (এমপি) ও ঢাকা-১৩ আসনের আওয়ামী লীগ নেতা সাদেক খানকে গ্রেপ্তার করেছে পুলিশ।

আজ শনিবার সন্ধ্যায় ডিএমপির পক্ষ থেকে হোয়াটসঅ্যাপে পাঠানো এক বার্তায় জানানো হয়, গত ২২ আগস্ট মোহাম্মদপুর থানায় দায়ের হওয়া এক হত্যা মামলার সঙ্গে জড়িত থাকার অভিযোগে তাকে গ্রেপ্তার করা হয়েছে।
উল্লেখ্য, ২০১৮ সালের ৩০ ডিসেম্বর অনুষ্ঠিত জাতীয় সংসদ নির্বাচনে আওয়ামী লীগের মনোনয়নে ঢাকা-১৩ আসন থেকে সংসদ সদস্য নির্বাচিত হয়েছিলেন সাদেক খান। তবে ২০২৪ সালের জানুয়ারী মাসে অনুষ্ঠেয় নির্বাচনে তিনি দলের মনোনয়ন পাননি।
