ক্রিকেটের বাইশ গজে দারুণ সময় কাটাচ্ছেন বাবর আজম-শাহিন আফ্রিদিরা। ওয়ানডে ক্রিকেট র্যাঙ্কিংয়ে শীর্ষে ওঠার হাতছানি পাকিস্তানের সামনে। এবার বিরাট এক আর্থিক পদক্ষেপ নিতে যাচ্ছে পাকিস্তান ক্রিকেট বোর্ড (পিসিবি)। পিসিবির উদ্দেশ্য সফল হলে লাভবান হবে পাকিস্তান ক্রিকেট।
পাকিস্তান ক্রিকেট বোর্ড
ক্রিকেটের উন্নতির জন্য ইতিমধ্যেই বেশকিছু উদ্যোগ নিয়েছে পিসিবি। পাকিস্তান সুপার লিগ আয়োজনের মধ্য দিয়ে ওঠে আসছে তরুণ ক্রিকেটার। এবার ক্রিকেটে বাইরে বিলিয়ন রূপি আয়ের হাতছানি দিচ্ছে তাদের। মূলত পাকিস্তান সুপার লিগ (পিএসএল) ও আন্তর্জাতিক ক্রিকেটের টিভি স্বত্ব বিক্রি করে মোটা অঙ্কের লাভের সম্ভাবনা দেখছে বোর্ডটি।
বোর্ডের আশা ঘরোয়া ও আন্তর্জাতিক আসর মিলিয়ে ৮ থেকে ১০ বিলিয়ন রূপি আয় করবে বোর্ড। ইতিমধ্যে দুটি চ্যানেল টিভি স্বত্ব কেনার আগ্রহ প্রকাশ করেছে। যেখানে একটি চ্যানেল বর্তমানে অর্থপ্রদান না করার জেরে ঝুলে আছে, আরেকটি চ্যানেল বিদেশি সংস্থার সঙ্গে অংশীদারিত্বের ভিত্তিতে নিলামে অংশগ্রহণ করতে চলছে।
টিভি স্বত্ব বিক্রির ঘোষণা দিলেও এখনও বিস্তারিত কিছু জানায়নি পিসিবি। আন্তর্জাতিক ও ঘরোয়া আসরের টিভি স্বত্ব একসাথে বিক্রি করবে, না কি গত বছরের মতো আলাদাভাবে বিক্রি করবে সেই বিষয়ে কিছু জানায়নি বোর্ড।
সাম্প্রতিক সময়ে পিসিবি লাভবান হচ্ছে বেশ। পিএসএলের সবশেষ আসরে পিসিবি আয় করেছিল ৫৬৩ কোটি রুপি। সম্প্রচার স্বত্ব, টাইটেল স্পনসরশিপ, টিকেট বিক্রির আয় ও অন্যান্য স্বত্ব থেকে এ পরিমাণ আয় এসেছে।
